NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News family said they narrowly escaped injury after gunfire tore through their apartment late at night, leaving behind shattered glass, bullet holes and lingering fear.
The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the Cottage Grove Apartments, where Sabrina Parkerson lives with her husband.
