POQUOSON, Va. — Victims and witnesses involved in serious criminal cases in York County and Poquoson could now have stronger protections, thanks to newly secured state funding.
The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office has received a $25,000 grant through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services’ Witness Protection Grant Program. Officials say the funding will help provide direct support to people who may face intimidation or danger for coming forward.
