The Windsor Town Council voted April 14 to adopt two budget amendments that appropriated more than $5,300 to benefit the Windsor Police Department (WPD).
Cheryl McClanahan, Windsor town treasurer, presented the amendments to the council, starting with the appropriation of Police DMV Grant reimbursement funds.
In a memo to the mayor and Town Council, McClanahan stated, “In March 2026, the amount of $2,255.80 was received from DMV Grant, which was a reimbursement for WPD DMV Grant Time. As such, we must appropriate the Police DMV Grant received to the DMV Grant Revenue and Windsor Police Overtime Expense Line.”…
