NORFOLK, Va. — Gas prices are once again climbing across the country, and drivers in Hampton Roads are feeling the squeeze even more than most. According to AAA Tidewater, the national average for a gallon of gas now sits just above $4. Here in Hampton Roads, drivers can expect to pay $4.15 or more.
Scenes of long lines at gas stations offering discounts are becoming more common as drivers search for ways to cut costs. In Norfolk, for example, one station listed gas at $4.09 per gallon, while another just two blocks away charged $4.19.
