NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is gearing up for Phase II of its Consolidation Plan, and families and community members are invited to attend crucial Community Redistricting Meetings.
The meetings will provide detailed insights into the five school closures planned at the end of the 2027-2028 school year, and offer a platform for stakeholders to voice their questions and concerns, according to NPS. The sessions will be held across various elementary schools, ensuring accessibility for all interested parties.

- Tarrallton Elementary School | Start Time 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 14, 2026
- P.B Young Elementary School | Start Time 3:45 p.m.
- Lindenwood Elementary School | Start Time 6:30 p.m.
Below are the five schools scheduled to close as part of the Consolidation Plan Phase II:
- Tarrallton Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
- Granby Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
- Ghent K-8 (scheduled to be relocated to Academy of International Studies at Rosemont in June 2027)
- Lindenwood Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
- P.B. Young Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
