NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was shot on Roanoke Avenue in Newport News Friday afternoon and has life-threatening injuries following a report of a home invasion and shooting, police said.
Newport News Police said it responded to the report of a home invasion and shooting around 3:47 p.m. and found a woman who had been shot at least once.
Police said they have no suspect information and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
