18-year-old charged in shooting on East Brambleton Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shooting on East Brambleton Avenue that injured a 16-year-old boy, according to Norfolk Police.

Police investigate shooting near the Norfolk Scope

On May 9, officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 200 block of East Brambleton Avenue at approximately 8:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening. He was taken to a local hospital to receive medical treatment.

Following the investigation, 18-year-old Tyler M. Rollerson was charged with malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding and use of a firearm. He was arrested by Norfolk Police on Thursday around 3 p.m.

Rollerson remains in the Norfolk City Jail without bond…
