SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The City of Suffolk announced that the Turlington Road will require a full road closure and detour as early as Friday, July 10.
Officials say this is a part of the Speights Spillway Bridge Replacement Project, and will involve a superstructure replacement for the bridge over the spillway from Lake Speight into Lake Kilby.
Work is said to include removing the existing bridge deck, making necessary repairs, and installing a new desk and guardrail system.
