VB Council signals support for new aircraft for NAS Oceana

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – City Council unanimously voted in favor of a resolution to support the U.S. Navy assigning new aircraft to Naval Air Station Oceana. While Vice Mayor Rosemary Wilson said ahead of the vote that they haven’t been specific as to what kind of aircraft it wants to see come to NAS Oceana, 10 On Your Side previously reported that both Wilson and Mayor Bobby Dyer were putting forth the resolution to formalize city support for having the Navy locate new F-35C Lightning II joint strike-fighter aircraft to the East Coast Master Jet Base.
