WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Year-round, Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown present gallery exhibits, rare artifacts and films that recount the experiences of Africans and African Americans in early America, from the first-known Africans in Virginia in 1619 to the role of African Americans in the Revolutionary War.
This February for Black History Month, compelling special programs enhance daily experiences featuring Jamestown Settlement’s monthlong 2025 Black Artist Showcase debuting with an evening reception February 1 and culminating with the annual After Angelo event February 22.
