CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County firefighters recently rescued a man stranded on a capsized boat in James City County waters.
Two weeks ago, on Friday, May 23, Chesterfield County Fire and EMS attended kickoff festivities for the Sail250 event in Norfolk.
While sailing back to Central Virginia, firefighters happened upon a man standing on top of a capsized boat in James City County waters. They were able to rescue him and bring him to safety.
“Talk about being in the right place at the right time,” fire officials said.
