Man sentenced to 2 years in prison for fatal DUI crash in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man will spend two years in prison in connection with a fatal DUI crash that occurred in 2024.

According to officials, around 4:30 a.m. on March 3, 2024, Antwan Thomas was traveling westbound on High Street with his passenger, 50-year-old Pamela Willie, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then crossed over the median and veered off the roadway, eventually striking a utility pole, causing the vehicle to overturn.
