Oceanfront businesses gear up for Hurricane Erin impacts

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — It was the calm before the storm at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Tuesday night as tourists, residents and business owners await the impacts from Hurricane Erin.

“A hurricane is a hurricane,” said Ocean Eddie’s manager Alexa Schwantes. “Everyone needs to be careful.”

That’s the message to those visiting the Cceanfront this week as Hurricane Erin is expected to bring high tides and high winds to the busy resort area.
