CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)– Crews in Chesapeake responded to an accidental fire Monday evening.
According to officials, crews were called to the Indian River Shopping center located in the 4300 block of Indian River Road just before 7 p.m. for the report of a commercial structure fire. When units arrived, they found smoke showing from the roof of a suite that was under construction.
Water was deployed above and below the roofline to contain the fire and cool hot spots. Crews were able to bring the fire under control at 7:37 p.m…
