Heavy rain, strong wind gusts, and flooding expected across the region

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Heavy rainfall is expected across the WAVY viewing area through Tuesday, bringing with it a risk of tidal flooding.

The next few high tide cycles will be higher than typical, according to the Super Doppler 10 weather team, which could lead to flooding, especially considering how much rain is forecast.

The Future Trak model shows one-to-three inches of rainfall, with more than four inches possible in some regions.
