CHESAPEAKE, Va. — More than 40 years later, after hunters made a grisly discovery, investigators are still trying to identify the human remains left on Happy Acres Road.
In 1983, hunters stumbled upon human bones on a dead-end road in a wooded area. The decomposition was so advanced, scientists believe he must have been dead for one to four years before the group of men found him.
State Police found only a tape of music, a religious prayer card, a comb, and some change on the body. To this day, he has not been identified, nor has his manner of death been determined…
