Mother claims Virginia Beach school failed autistic son after false drug accusation

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach mother claims a city school failed her autistic son after a false drug accusation was leveled on him earlier this year.

Dariana Trinidad, a mother of four boys who moved from the West Coast to Hampton Roads in 2016, said Salem Middle School leaders considered expelling her son Dariel, who lives with Level 2 autism, over something he never even did, and they have the medical tests to prove it.
