NORFOLK, Va. — Drivers are allowed back through Norfolk’s Neon District, as construction for the city’s Streetscape project has been temporarily paused.
Contractors discovered a “utility issue,” namely an electrical vault right where crews wanted to build a sewer line. The electrical vault is located at the intersection of Olney Road and Granby Street, and crews were unable to immediately fix it.
Since they cannot, city leaders said they will let drivers back through as part of an unexpected holiday break…
