CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were displaced following an attic fire on Southport Avenue Monday night, according to the Chesapeake Fire Department.
Crews responded to the 3000 block of Southport Avenue around 9:45 p.m. for a report of a fire in the attic of a home.
Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the residence. They quickly brought the fire under control and successfully contained it to the attic area.
