VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A woman was found not guilty by reason of insanity Wednesday, in the death of her 2-year-old daughter at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
WAVY Investigative Reporter Chris Horne was in the Virginia Beach courtroom. He reported that 42-year-old Leandra Andrade will be evaluated until March 10, 2026. At a conditional release hearing on that date, a judge will determine whether she will be released or committed to the mental health system.
