NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Andrew Shannon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, Feeding 5000™, and Gospel Music Celebration occurred Sunday, Jan. 18, in Newport News, kicking off events leading to the national Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 19.
Dr. Willard G. Maxwell Jr., pastor of New Beech Grove Baptist Church, served as keynote speaker.
