NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Adale Martin, in her second term as a member of the Norfolk School Board, pleaded guilty Monday to DWI in Newport News General District Court.
Court documents show Martin, 49, was observed by police shortly after 6 p.m. Sept. 28 on Jefferson Avenue near Oyster Point.
Police say when they saw Martin in a black Mercedes, she nearly collided with another vehicle, put the vehicle in reverse in the middle of Jefferson Avenue, and then made an erratic left turn into another lane.
