NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk longshoreman won a $100,000 top prize after purchasing a Virginia Lottery scratcher at a local Wawa. Justin Johnson claimed the first top price available in the “10X the money” game.
Johnson bought the winning ticket located at 6301 North Military Highway in Norfolk. He was using the ATM when he noticed someone playing on the Virginia Lottery machine and decided to get a couple of scratcher tickets.
Johnson took the tickets home and scratched them while facetiming with his fiancée. During his call, he discovered he had won the game’s highest prize of $100,000 in the “10X the Money” game.
