Cinema Cafe celebrates its 40th anniversary with a slate of events and promotions

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Cinema Cafe announced plans for its 40th anniversary Tuesday, according to a press release.

Founded under the name Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse by John and Deborah Walker in 1986, the chain’s original location was a twin-plex dine-in theater in Virginia Beach. As it’s following grew by the ’90s, the chain rebranded as the family friendly Cinema Cafe, now focusing on hospitality, community involvement and unique guest experiences.
