NORFOLK, Va. — The guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) is expected to depart Naval Station Norfolk soon as it begins a scheduled deployment, according to the U.S. Navy.
Navy officials say the deployment follows several months of training exercises, maintenance work and required certifications. The ship will deploy as part of the George H. W. Bush Carrier Strike Group.
