VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The hotel portion of Atlantic Park may be the latest piece of the development to open, but hosts the properties longtime tenants.
In 2023, when construction crews began clearing the 12-acre site, known as the former “Dome site” between 18th and 20th streets between Pacific and Baltic avenues at the Oceanfront, 25 large oak and poplar trees were removed.
Today, much of the wood from those trees is back on site as tables, sofas, desks and even room signs in The Sitio, a 20-room boutique hotel, all of it manufactured by Patrick Ryan and his team at Benevolent Design Company, located just down the street…
