NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A 23-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after speeding more than 150 mph on Interstate 64 in New Kent County, according to deputies.
On April 27, New Kent Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a black Chevrolet Corvette traveling at a high rate of speed while operating radar on I-64 westbound in the area of the 220-mile marker.
Deputies obtained initial radar readings of the vehicle in excess of 100 mph. After activating their emergency lights and attempting to stop the vehicle, the vehicle continued to accelerate to speeds exceeding 150 mph…
