CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The owner of a Chesapeake towing business is out more than $20,000 in equipment after his business was broken into in the early morning hours last Thursday.
“It hurts more personally than anything — I feel violated,” said John Pelfrey, chief executive officer of Tidewater Express. “It’s heartwrenching.”
Pelfrey, who has been in business since 1988, said he got the call that his wrecker shop off Cavalier Boulevard was broken into, and he immediately called police. He said nothing of this extreme has happened before…
