HAMPTON, Va. — One person was taken to the hospital and multiple residents were displaced after a fire at a Hampton apartment complex Friday evening, according to officials with the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue.
Fire crews were called to the 1900 block of West Pembroke Avenue around 6:52 p.m. for a fire alarm at the apartment complex.
Officials said crews arrived on scene by 6:55 p.m. and found flames on a fourth-floor balcony. Firefighters began an aggressive fire attack while also conducting search and rescue operations…
