Linda Rendle, the chair and CEO of Clorox, plans to step down after the Oakland consumer products company appoints its next chief executive, a decision she said was driven by health concerns after treatment for early-stage breast cancer.
Rendle, who has spent 23 years at Clorox and has led the company since 2020, asked the board to begin looking for a new CEO, the company said Thursday.
