One teen was killed and three others were injured early Saturday after the car they were riding in launched over a barrier on Interstate 80 in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood and fell 25 feet, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Around 1:30 a.m., an eastbound gray Chevrolet Camaro collided with a Recology semitruck, sending both vehicles into sand barrels near the Seventh Street off-ramp. The truck came to a halt on the off-ramp blocking traffic, and the Camaro was catapulted over the freeway railings before falling into a San Francisco Police Department impound lot off Seventh Street.
