Person jumps from San Francisco hotel window after putting out scooter fire

A person was taken to a hospital Saturday after putting out an electric scooter fire inside a San Francisco residence hotel and then jumping from a second-story window, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

The person suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the department said in a social media post. Firefighters responded to 34 Sixth St., confirmed the fire was completely extinguished and determined that the cause was accidental.
