A convicted child molester who was last seen in San Francisco before he failed to appear for sentencing in El Dorado County has been arrested in Arizona after nearly 10 months on the run, the FBI announced Saturday.
Carl Cacconie was taken into custody without incident in Scottsdale around 9 a.m. Friday by the FBI Phoenix Desert Hawk Fugitive Task Force, according to a joint statement from the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office and the FBI’s Sacramento Field Office.
Cacconie is expected to make his first court appearance in Arizona before being extradited to California, where he will face sentencing, authorities said…
