Thursday will bring summertime heat to parts of the Bay Area in what should be the warmest day of the week across the region.
A few 90-degree readings will pop up in the East Bay and North Bay interiors. Even San Francisco should have its sunniest day in quite some time, helping temperatures push toward 70 degrees in parts of the city.
The marine layer will be notably less stubborn Thursday. Drier air should move in a few thousand feet above the surface Thursday morning, compressing the moisture-rich marine air closer to the ground and making the cloud cover much easier for the sun to break apart…
