(KRON) — An investigation is underway after a person in custody was found dead in the West County Detention Facility on Friday morning. The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, which is handling the investigation, said it will provide more details later on Friday.
Friday’s death follows another instance of an in-custody death in Contra Costa County back on June 25.
