After hundreds of popups at coffee shops, bars, plant nurseries and even bus stops over the last four years, East Bay egg sandwich specialist Egg Pals is getting a permanent home in Oakland.
Owners Brack DeFries and Chris Morgan plan to open Egg Palace, a restaurant and bar at 4101 Broadway, by November.
The restaurant will serve Egg Pals’ hit breakfast sandwiches in the morning and burgers, cocktails and bar snacks at night. The pair spent the last two years searching for a space before landing the former home of TrueBurger in Temescal, near many of the businesses that have hosted Egg Pals for popups, including Tacos Oscar, Bright Coffee, Oakland Yard Wine Shop and Mother Tongue Cafe…
