(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department is looking for a suspect in an assault last month who was described as having yellow eyes and smelled strongly of alcohol and cigarettes. The incident, which is being investigated by OPD’s Special Victims Unit, occurred on July 20, just before 9 a.m. on Harrington Avenue near Foothill.

According to OPD, the suspect entered the residence, assaulted the victim and left with several items and evidence. The suspect is described as approximately 20 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, with yellow eyes, facial acne or razor bumps, and a beard.
Police said he was last seen wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black Air Force 1 sneakers and had a “strong odor” of alcohol and cigarettes. He was last seen running into Cesar Chavez Park at 1835 38th Avenue, an area police say he is known to frequent.
