A California woman in her 30s is in critical condition after two young brothers aged four and seven took their sleeping parents’ car for a fun spin and struck her as she walked her dog, local authorities reported. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Mangels Avenue. The two boys were driving northbound at high speeds when they lost control and struck the pedestrian.
The children drove a short distance before sideswiping another vehicle and striking a pedestrian, according to the Oakland Police Department. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, and traffic investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
