SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A sizeable jolt was felt around the Bay Area Thursday morning as an earthquake rocked the San Leandro area. The quake was a preliminary magnitude 4.1, according to the United States Geological Survey.
However, the agency later downgraded it, first to a 3.9, and then again to 3.8. The quake struck at a depth of about 3.1 miles, the USGS said.
The quake struck around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
