(KRON) — A driver was killed Wednesday night near the Safeway in Concord after being involved in a crash with another car, police said.
The Concord Police Department responded to the collision around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Port Chicago Highway. Arriving officers found a blue Toyota Prius and a red Chevrolet Cruze involved in a crash.
The driver of the Cruze was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Prius’s driver was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, Concord PD said.
