(KRON)– A kitten was rescued over the weekend after falling 10 feet down a metal pipe in an abandoned field.
Alameda Police Department’s Animal Control officer responded to a call about a kitten in distress over the weekend.
APD said the depth of the pipe was the most difficult part of the rescue, but eventually they rescued the kitten.
According to APD, “He was covered in wet rust, and his paw pads were raw from his many unsuccessful attempts to climb out on his own.”
