A skydiver was airlifted to a hospital Saturday morning after crashing near Byron Airport, Contra Costa County authorities said.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District received a call around 10:28 a.m. of a skydiver who experienced a “hard fall” near the old Byron Hot Springs Hotel — an abandoned resort located off Byron Hot Springs Road — a Con Fire public information officer said.
Con Fire responders arrived at the scene around 10:39 a.m. and airlifted the victim to a nearby hospital, authorities said…
