A mountain lion was tranquilized and captured in San Francisco’s Sunset District on Friday morning after police surrounded the area and wildlife officials responded to a reported sighting, authorities said.
The animal had been hunkered down along 44th Avenue between Ulloa and Vicente streets when authorities decided around 10:30 a.m. to tranquilize it.
The mountain lion then moved up 44th Avenue, turned onto Ulloa Street and hid in a bush near a home at the intersection. About 20 minutes later, police were seen carrying the sedated animal away on a stretcher…
