A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday evening on Interstate 880 in Oakland, authorities said.
The incident happened shortly before 8:15 p.m. in the freeway’s northbound lanes near 29th Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Investigators do not suspect the vehicle’s driver was using drugs or alcohol, and police did not make any arrests, CHP spokesperson Cindy Ramirez said…
