A Bay Area-based food company has issued a voluntary recall after a viral video alleged that a dead rodent was found inside a jar of peperoncini.
Mezzetta recalled its 32-ounce jars of Golden Greek Peperoncini on Saturday following a TikTok post that has garnered more than 467,000 views since it was shared on Sept. 17. In the video, a woman is seen holding a jar of peperoncini, which appears to include a dead rodent inside.
