Tichina Marshall has officially pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder following a brutal assault on a co-worker at an IllinoisWendy’s. According to Law&Crime, the 29-year-old received a 12-year prison sentence for the attack. This sentencing occurred on September 28, 2026, at 3.13 p.m. Marshall must serve at least 85% of her total sentence behind bars. She will also face three years of probation once she is finally released from prison.
The incident took place at a Wendy’s restaurant located on North Vermilion Street in Danville. Officers arrived at the scene on May 26, 2025, to find the victim was lying on the office floor of the restaurant. She was bleeding uncontrollably and was nearly unconscious when help arrived. Medical assessments later revealed that the victim suffered a fractured skullduring the assault. She also sustained a deep, 3-centimeter stab wound on the top of her head.
The victim had been speaking with the store manager inside a small office at the time. Marshall suddenly barged into the room while armed with a knife. She looked directly at her co-worker and stated, “I am going to kill you.” Marshall then proceeded to slash the victim at least twice in the face and once on the top of the head.
This was not the first altercation between the two women
Investigators discovered that Marshall and the victim had been co-workers at the same restaurant. Marshall had allegedly threatened to kill the same co-worker about one month before the stabbing incident occurred. The entire ordeal was captured on surveillance video, which likely played a significant role in the legal proceedings.
State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy publicly acknowledged the victim for her role in the case. Lacy noted that the victim worked closely with prosecutors to ensure a conviction was reached. Regarding the outcome, Lacy said, “While no sentence can undo the lasting effects caused by this defendant, this prison sentence reflects the violent nature of this attack and the devastating injuries suffered by the victim.”…
