Bay Area to be even hotter Sunday as advisories expand across region

The National Weather Service has expanded a heat advisory across most of the Bay Area, with the weekend’s toasty temperatures expected to increase slightly Sunday.

Hot conditions with maximum temperatures in the mid-90s to low 100s could continue through the middle of next week in the East Bay, San Jose and Wine Country, where the weather service implemented a heat advisory until 10 p.m. Wednesday.

San Francisco, the Marin hills, Santa Cruz and northern Salinas are under a heat advisory through Sunday night. The weather service also expanded the advisory Saturday to areas on the immediate coast, including Point Reyes, Half Moon Bay and Monterey…
