Warriors’ Stephen Curry Joins Kobe Bryant in Exclusive 60-Point Club

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry scored 60 points in Saturday night’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks , and after the game, he learned he joined an exclusive club that features only one other player.

During the postgame press conference, a reporter pointed out that Curry is just the second NBA player ever to score 60 points at age 35 or older, joining Kobe Bryant as the only other person to accomplish the feat. Bryant famously scored 60 points in his last NBA game in 2016 when he was 37.

“That’s pretty cool. I didn’t know that,” Curry said. “That’s special—granted we lost. It’s just one of those things you feel as you go, knowing we’re on a back-to-back coming in late trying to do whatever you can to keep our team in it.”

Curry, who will turn 36 on March 14, made 22 of 38 shots from the field in the 141–134 overtime loss in his 41 minutes of action. He’s averaging 28.1 points per game in his 15th NBA season. The loss dropped the Warriors to 21–25 on the year and his team sits in 12th place in the Western Conference.
