Last night, law enforcement from Walnut Creek and Concord joined forces in a high-speed chase that ended with the collar of an alleged car thief. The Walnut Creek Police Department (WCPD) responded to a Be On the Look Out (BOLO) alert from the Concord Police Department (CPD) about a stolen Hyundai last seen cruising on Ygnacio Valley Rd from Oak Grove Rd. Officers spotted the vehicle as it merged onto the Highway 24 on-ramp and gave chase when the suspect slammed on the gas instead of heeding a traffic halt.
