Steve Kerr Reveals His Angriest Moment Involving Draymond Green

Golden State Warriors’ mercurial star forward Draymond Green had been suspended six times in his colorful NBA career.

Last season, Green was suspended twice — first for his chokehold of Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in November and a month later, for a strike on Phoenix Suns big man Jusuf Nurkic — which tolled heavily on the Warriors as they failed to advance past the play-in tournament.

However, none of those Green on-court shenanigans infuriated Warriors coach Steve Kerr the most.

Kerr made the revelation on the “Dan Le Batard Show” on September 17.

“Well, there’s a lot of examples,” Kerr said. “I think that for sure, the Jordan Poole incident [was the angriest I’ve been with Green].”

Green was fined an undisclosed amount but escaped team suspension after he punched Poole during an October team practice in 2022. Nevertheless, Green voluntarily stepped away from the team after the incident.

A video of the incident leaked to the media. Before the punch, Green and Poole exchanged words, according to ESPN .
